Concordia Community Ensembles present Hodie at First Presbyterian Church (10025 105 St) on Saturday, December 7 at 6:00pm.
The glorious sounds of bells and voices fill First Presbyterian Church as Concordia’s community ensembles collaborate in their annual Christmas celebration. The concert progresses from quiet into a knowledge of God’s incredible gift as the story of Christ’s birth is portrayed musically through carols and newly composed Christmas pieces.
The choirs present Canadian and Scandinavian composers, including Sirett, Willan, Sandstrom, and Hovland, as the Community Chorus prepares for a spring tour of Scandinavia. This choral texture is complemented and supported by the shimmering soundscape of handbells performed on the largest set of handbells and handchimes in Canada, and congregational involvement on Joy to the World.
Tickets are $20 for Adults, and $15 for Students and Seniors (65+), plus applicable fees.
Tickets are now available to purchase at the door, an hour before showtime.
