The Chinese Benevolent Assocation presents SEARCH - a Song and Dance Drama at the Winspear Centre on Friday, October 11 at 7:00pm.
The Chinese Benevolent Association (CBA) of Edmonton and the Canada China Friendship Society together with over 60 Chinese Community Organizations is pleased to be the co-organizers of a Song and Dance Drama “SEARCH”, on October 11, 2019 in Edmonton at the Winspear Music Centre.
This Cross Country Song and Dance Drama Tour is part of the 2019 China Canada Cultural event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and 49th anniversary of the establishment of official diplomatic relations between the two countries - Canada and the People’s Republic of China. This cross-country tour is to strengthen the friendship and promote cultural exchanges between the two countries. This Drama, produced by artists from both China and Canada, reflects the harmonious co-existence of human and nature, and will contribute to the deep understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.
A troupe of 35 dancers from the Wuxi Song and Dance Theatre of the Jiangsu Province, China will be performing at the Song and Dance Drama and is directed by a famous Canadian Choreographer - Peter Quanz with two leading Canadian performers – Julia from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Peter-Nicholas from Ballet Victoria.
Tickets are $28 for Orchestra Dress Circle, $18 for Upper Circle, and $10 for Gallery seating.
