Edmonton Chamber Music Society presents Constantinople on Saturday, November 9, 7:30 PM at Robertson-Wesley United Church (10209 123 St)

Founded in Montreal in 1998 by its artistic director Kiya Tabassian, Constantinople presents creative and interpretive programs inspired by the musical traditions of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, as well as those of the Mediterranean and Middle East. Regularly invited to perform in international festivals and prestigious concert halls, Constantinople is acclaimed by the public, music professionals, and critics alike. The ensemble has recorded 17 albums and performed in 30 countries. They will be playing with an ensemble of Canadian virtuosos playing Persian instruments

PROGRAM
Poems of Rumi: This performance takes us on a journey into the shimmering world of the timeless poems of Rumi, the great Master of Love. Rhythms, dances, songs of love and lament, divine mysticism, and wonder are omnipresent in the verses set to music by Kiya Tabassian.

Tickets are Regular $50, $45 for Seniors (65+), and $15 for Students, plus applicable fees.

Tickets are now available to purchase at the door, an hour before showtime.
